Important
months will never delete or change your events on its own. If events appear to have disappeared in the “months” app, there are several possible causes. In most cases, reviewing your settings will make your events appear again. Please check the following steps in order.
1. Check the Calendar Permissions
Calendar access permissions can sometimes be changed by events such as an OS update.
How to check:
- Open the Settings app.
- Find and tap “months” under “Apps.”
- Select the “Calendars” item.
- Check whether the access permission is set to “Add Events Only,” and change it to “Full Access.”
If “Full Access” is not set, your events will not be displayed.
2. Check the Calendar Settings Within the months App
If no calendar is selected for display, your events will not be shown.
How to check:
- Tap the “
Menu” button at the bottom left of the months app screen. - Tap “Calendars.”
- Select “Show All.”
Now check whether the calendar is displayed correctly.
3. Check the iOS Calendar Sync Settings
In some cases, the iOS settings are configured so that past events are not synced.
How to check:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap “Apps” → “Calendar.”
- Check the “Sync” item, and if it is set to something like “Events 3 Months Back,” change it to “All Events.”
Changing this setting will make past events appear as well.
4. Wait a Little While
After changing the settings, it may take a little time for your event data to be reflected.
Open the standard Calendar app and check whether your events have been restored.
If your events still do not appear
The months app displays the data from the standard Calendar app on your iPhone or iPad.
For this reason, if your events are not shown in the standard Calendar app, they will not be shown in months either.
In such cases, please use Apple’s support.
