An App Store promo code (coupon code) is a code that provides discounts or perks you can use when making purchases on the App Store. To use one, first obtain a promo code, then select “Redeem Gift Card or Code” on the App Store and enter the code.

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Get a code:
   The annual promo code (¥1,000) may be distributed through campaigns, events, and the like.
2. Open the App Store app:
   Open the App Store app on your iPhone.
3. Access your account:
   Tap your profile photo, initials, or the sign-in button at the top of the screen.
4. Select “Redeem Gift Card or Code”:
   Tap “Redeem Gift Card or Code,” then “Enter Code Manually.”
5. Enter the code:
   On the code entry screen, enter (or paste) the promo code exactly.
6. Tap “Redeem”:
   Tap “Redeem” as shown on the screen.
7. Confirm it’s applied:
   If the code is valid, check that the expiration date shown in months under “ Settings > Manage Subscription” has been extended by one year. After the promo code’s validity period ends, subscription fees will apply.

A promo code can only be used once.
